Master Plan Development

Puerto Raíz is a natural sanctuary in San José del Cabo, where 10 hectares of land have been regenerating after the 2014 hurricane. Bamboo Flower, the first of several organic buildings in the project, is a 127 m² pavilion with nine private bathrooms, integrated into the endemic landscape.

Developed with principles of natural and sustainable architecture, the pavilion promotes the responsible use of water through a natural filtration system that allows it to be reused for irrigation.

The pavillon is formed by a bamboo structure reinforced with metal rings, guaranteeing stability and flexibility in the face of hurricanes. Reed walls, ramps and open courtyards create a seamless transition between the architecture and the environment.

In addition to Bamboo Flower, the project includes the access structure, a kitchen with a bamboo auxiliary metal structure, and the Semillon restaurant, currently in operation.

Primary materials
