Project summary

Sanditthika is a meditation center developed in collaboration with Stefano Frontani, conceived as a simple, quiet environment deeply integrated with nature and Buddhist philosophy. Inspired by a serene and minimalist aesthetic, the project seeks to eliminate distractions and offer pure, functional spaces where nature, silence, and meditative practice become the true protagonists.

The project is fully self-sufficient, integrating rainwater harvesting, complete water treatment systems, and bioclimatic strategies that ensure comfort throughout the year. A permaculturist actively collaborates in the design to support site regeneration and ecological balance.

Primary materials

The material strategy combines traditional regional techniques with low-impact contemporary solutions. Earth, stone, wood, lime, and locally sourced brick—typical of Granada’s vernacular architecture—are used throughout, complemented by hempcrete as an ecological and insulating material.
