Punta Conejo is a seaside retreat that has grown organically with the vision of its owners, conceived as a gathering place for friends with the potential for future expansion.
Situated at the highest point of the property, the house connects seamlessly with both the desert and the sea, creating the sensation of outdoor living. Its design embraces simple forms and optimized construction processes to adapt to its remote location.
At the heart of the project is an open pergola that connects the enclosed volumes of the bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. Bungalows on stilts descend along the mountainside, while a caretaker’s house provides a home for a local family.
The garage functions as a surf club, inspired by the chiringuitos of the Iberian Peninsula, offering space to store equipment and enjoy the sea.
Built with local materials such as earth, wood, and natural plasters, the house is designed to withstand strong winds and hurricanes, with wooden shutters that allow it to be fully enclosed when necessary.
